Quiet, small, historic restaurant. Prime rib sandwich was cool, but server took it back, no problem. Otherwise delicious food

The food was good. Asked for an appetizer,it came rather quickly, and then immediately followed the food So I have a table full of food meatloaf getting cold a salad to eat and a cup of chicken noodle soup,Cheese curds drinks bread all at once no room for anything between myself and my guest. I had to ask for my green beans that came as a side with my entree. The server wrote nothing down she was clearly unorganized and couldn't keep up. I don't dine out for these types of experiences,I choose to dine here because it's always hot, attentive service and spaced out,it's usually a great meal. Things were off especially the service. We all have bad days but I don't eat cold food and shouldn't have to considering I'm paying for it. The new menu is great, the portions and plating are fantastic but fell short when it all came out at once. I did take pictures though

This place has a really good prime rib and filet. The setting is a bit dated but the food makes up for it. We had a Bloody Mary flight which was just ok but the two appetizers (Aji, tuna and bacon wrapped chicken liver) were really good. Wedge salad was fresh and french onion soup was tasty. Like I said the highlight of this evening was definitely the meat. It was most excellent and we all enjoyed our dishes. The dessert was a german chocolate cake and it was also really good.

Haven't been to a Hall's in decades. This was a grand time. The Chicago Burger was every bit as delicious as I remembered. I miss the Hall's family of restaurants but when I'm back in the Fort, I make a beeline to either State Street or Coventry.

5 stars all around! The staff was all great and the meatloaf melt sandwich made my day. The wife and I both enjoyed our lunch there. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
